Christmas at the Hope House

Today, we spent Christmas day at the Hope House in Port Chester, bringing food, drinks and a lot of origami paper! It was an amazing day, spending time with great people and sharing the joy of paper art with the group.

“HOPE House is a place where people recovering from behavioral health conditions find the support and resources they need to pursue their goals and dreams. The clubhouse program focuses on the abilities and talents of its members concentrating on wellness, recovery and opportunities.”

Teaching origami at Small Projects Istanbul

In the summer of 2018, we flew to Istanbul and spent two weeks volunteering with the amazing staff of Small Projects Istanbul (SPI) and spending time with many Syrian children who have been displaced from their home countries.  We taught two origami classes and helped the children with other activities, including arts and crafts and sports.  Please visit their website and consider donating to this incredible cause.
